Bio
Makeup Artistry and Hair Styling by Sylvie
Since starting out as a make-up artist in 2006, Sylvie’s style has evolved to reflect a combination of her fashion industry and retail experience.
Her signature makeup style is timeless, prefected beauty, akin to the pages of Vogue.
Sylvie assisted world renowned makeup artists on campaign, editorial and fashion week shows for close to a decade. She also worked in-store and as an event artist for MAC Cosmetics (London, Paris and Cheng Du, China).
She began styling hair a few years ago, learning via osmosis, having worked with pro hair teams on set and backstage for much of her career.
She now owns her own bridal makeup and hair styling business and loves every second!!

Trials and chemistry testing
For the most part Sylvie conducts trials from her garden studio in South East London (there’s plenty of parking space and its easily accessible via public transport).
As Sylvie offers a bespoke service, trials are incredibly important.
Sylvie compares trials to the first draft of an essay - every good essay is edited before being published.
Nine times out of ten Sylvie will have notes on how she’d like to tweak your look after your initial session and replies on your feedback regarding comfort and longevity to ensure your makeup and hair design is flawless on your big day.
Pro tip: For some brides, wearing their wedding look out of context can feel unnerving. Bring your wedding accessories if you have them, or you can borrow Sylvie’s. Bringing a supportive friend to your trial is also a good idea.
